Why do we need a Neighbourhood Plan?
The Parish Council believes our village should produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan. The Government is encouraging communities to be more involved in planning for the future and having a Neighbourhood Plan is the best way to ensure that we have some say in how our village changes and develops in the future. With a Neighbourhood Plan, we can influence the way the village develops in the future – how many new houses, where they should go, which village features such as open spaces we want to protect and enhance, and much more.
We think this will be an interesting and rewarding project and will put our village on a sound base for the future. Without a Plan we will have very limited say in matters such as where new housing would go. With a Plan, we take back some control over development and many other aspects of how the village will change over time.
